Downloading mail
Electronic Correspondence is downloaded onto your system via Healhlink’s messaging system. Contact the helpdesk for instructions on setting up this system and installing the Healthlink Software.
There are two steps in this process.
This dual process can be initiated in 2 ways:
Some users will be set up to check the mail as it comes in. Their machines will automatically process the mail every hour. To nominate which users will check the mail, go to the Tools menu. Select User Permissions from theStaff submenu.
Users with the Healthlink function ticked will check the mail.
If mail has come in but the program does not recognize who it is addressed to, the program will ask you to select the correct recipient from the list of active practitioners. The program will remember who you selected for next time.
Force the mail to be processed at any time (if you don’t want to wait for the next hourly check) by clicking the [Exchange healthlink mail] button.
Once the download is complete, use the Mail function to view the messages.
