Empower patients, lighten the load

Online portal used by hundreds of thousands of patients in New Zealand:

Provide patients with access to key parts of their record, including health summaries, immunisations, regular and past medications, allergies, and measurements, supporting shared decision-making and continuity of care.
Lab results are presented clearly, with comments and doctor's notes available where needed. Patients can review results online, while your team retains control over what is shared and when.
Answer queries from patients with integrated workflows. Questions and responses are saved in the clinical record, and you can initiate conversations with patients when appropriate.
Support your front desk staff by allowing patients to make in-person, telephone or online consultation bookings. Patients can also order repeat prescriptions for their regular medications.
Patients can view account history and pay outstanding bills. Practices can choose to enforce pre-payment for repeat prescriptions requested online.
Our Team

Our Founder

My Practice and Health365 were designed by Dr Ashwin Patel, a GP and software developer with over 35 years of experience. Ashwin leveraged his extensive experience, including his leadership roles in IPAs/PHOs, RNZCGP, DHBs and Ministry of Health projects, to design software that aligns with NZ’s evolving health system. He used My Practice every day in his own clinics, keeping the emphasis on smooth workflows, simple processes, and efficient practice management.

Clinical Director

Dr Adrian Wan is our Clinical Director, responsible for continuing our “designed by doctors, for doctors” ethos. Dr Wan runs a thriving group practice on Auckland’s North Shore, where he has been a My Practice super-user for more than a decade, and also offers Health365 to patients.

Managing Directors

Shila Patel has been a Director of My Practice for 25 years. She is a microbiologist and beauty therapist by training, with over 20 years’ experience in practice management and software support. Shila’s focus is on coordinating project work, interoperability with the public health sector, and financial control.

Sunita Patel has acted as an advisor to My Practice since 2020 and was appointed as a Managing Director in April 2025. She is a lawyer and businessperson, who has lived and worked in Auckland, New York and London and holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge. Sunita’s focus is on day-to-day operations, product management, and customer engagement.

News

User group

User group meetings are held once a month on Tuesdays, 1-2pm. These are an opportunity for all users to ask questions, make suggestions, and share their experiences with My Practice and Health365.

Our Clinical Director and/or Senior Support Specialist are on hand to answer questions and demonstrate features.
